My sweet husband. He always does the best he can for me and his little girls. When he works long hours and goes out of town for days on end, he checks in everyday to see how they are doing and just to tell them “I love you”. That said he is a bit firm with rules for me (although I like rules) and sometimes forgets (I hope think) that they are still kids.
He is far from perfect (just like his wife), but when he does something and I think he should have done differently or if neglects to do something at all (like actually SAY “Happy Mother’s Day” instead of just making it a nice day for me) I try to remind myself of something I read once… “Just because someone doesn’t love you they way you think they should doesn’t mean they aren’t loving you the best way they can”…it helps.
